Eleven services from the Tameside Local Offer have confirmed their attendance so far:1. The Anthony Seddon Fund – A Peer Support Mental Health Charity, providing a safe environment for you to come and chat.2. Minds Matter Tameside – For anyone who lives in Tameside or Glossop, or whose GP surgery is based there. Support is available for those experiencing everyday issues that are affecting their mental wellbeing. They can help you manage and overcome difficulties in relation to work, housing, family and money worries and more.

3. Healthwatch Tameside – The independent champion for people who use health and social care services. They’re here to make sure that those running services put people at the heart of care.

4. The Parenting Team Tameside – Strives to support families when it is needed most. They offer a range of courses and services to suit the needs of all parents and children in Tameside.5. Young Carers Project Tameside – Anyone aged 18 or under looking after someone who is unwell or disabled can access this service.6. Neighbourhood Coordinator7. Pure Innovations Travel Training – Travel training is all about moving young people away from Local Authority transport and teaching them to travel on their own either by bus, train or tram. Travel training has been shown to give people greater control in their lives, empowering them to make decisions and enabling them to take advantage of opportunities in their communities.8. Action Together – Action Together CIO is the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside. We connect people with what’s happening in their community, develop community ideas into action, strengthen local organisations, and provide strategic influence for the charity and voluntary sector.9. Change Live Grow – My Recovery Tameside provide information and advice on drug and alcohol use. They help people to make lifestyle changes and reduce harm and decrease substance misuse.10. Tameside Active – Their aim is to help you to live your best life. We provide high quality gyms, swimming pools and leisure attractions across Tameside, which are accessible to everyone.11. KOOTH & QWELL – Kooth is commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, charities and businesses to provide anonymous and personalised mental health support for Children and Young People. They provide end-to-end support for whatever the need.Kooth service is being expanded to support the ages of 10-25 across Greater Manchester, and their counterpart adult service Qwell is going live for ages 26+.We are looking forward to welcoming all of our parents and carers along to the Pastoral Open evening.Thank you for your continued support.

Samuel Laycock School caters for pupils from the ages of 11 to 16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLKD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). 

At the heart of our school’s mission, “Learning together, learning for all, learning for life,” is the belief that all our pupils, whatever their background or ability, will be successful and valued.
