Sports & Outdoor Pathway
This week’s blog focuses on the Sports & Outdoor Pathway, with two exciting updates about what they’ve been up to…
Boxing
Thursday afternoons have looked very different these past few weeks as pupils on the Sports & Outdoors pathway are currently participating in boxing sessions run by Sporting Chance. These sessions have left the pupils exhausted by the end of them!
They’re being put through a challenging boxing style circuit which involves cardio, weight training and practising their boxing combinations with the trainers.
They’ve been working so hard during these sessions. It’s been brilliant to see how focused they are and pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones.
Water Sports
The Sports & Outdoors pathway pupils are currently spending their Friday mornings at Anderton Water Centre, participating in kayaking, and canoeing so far.
All pupils are enjoying trying water sports which are helping them to improve their confidence as well as their team building skills.
Everyone has had a smile on their face during the sessions.
A few pupils were even brave enough to jump into the freezing water off the deck last week! Brrrrrrr!
