Samuel Laycock Update – 7.7.23
Here’s a few highlights from the last week or two…
We start with Forest School, where 9G were very lucky to find some honeycomb that had fallen from a tree that has a bees nest in it.
The pupils were fascinated by this find.
We took the honeycomb back to school to share with other groups.
Menawhile, in PHSE, core group 4 have been doing some work around discrimination. The pupils created a mind map on what their thoughts were.
All pupils displayed great understanding of what discrimination means.

A great variety of talents were shown!
As you will have seen on Facebook, we’ve had a couple of days dedicated to transitions this week…

The feedback was great, and we now have lots of young people who are eager to start the next stage of their journeys.
Finally this week, pupils on the horticulture pathway harvested some home grown veg, bagged it up and sold it to staff.
The pathway have made over £100 this year which will be ploughed back into resources.
It’s full steam ahead for the end of the academic year, but please try and get some well deserved rest in over the weekend, there’s still work to do!
